Introducing our Artists
Welcome to the 2020 Online Exhibition for Year 12 Creative Arts and Design and Technologies students.
The traditional model of education originally developed for industrial society, silos knowledge and prioritises assessing students through examination. This model is increasingly being viewed as inadequate for a 21st century world. The ability of students to develop complex creative thinking skills is transformational in improving executive function and preparing them for the future world of work. The teaching and learning environment of Food Science and Technologies, Materials Design and Technology, Media Production and Analysis, along with Visual Arts, promotes creative thinking habits such as: developing skills though discipline, engaging and persisting with problems and not giving up when faced with failure, fostering imagination by being inquisitive, and advocate skills of observing and listening.
This Year 12 Online Exhibition allows the opportunity to hear girls talk about their ideas and experiences, see thinking and working processes and view the final work which is the culmination of two-year work. As you explore this website one can begin to understand the challenging, rich, diverse and rewarding experiences gained from being engaged in Creative and Technology subjects. Please view each student’s work by clicking on their name below.
